Meet Our Team

Kim Deschamps started Holistic Physiotherapy & Wellness when it was just her, a rolling bag filled with yoga and clinic supplies, and a fold-up treatment table in tow. Her success led to building her vision of an integrative healthcare clinic, which she opened in May 2018. We celebrate and reflect on the journey as our team grows with respected healthcare professionals and administrators!

Hello & Welcome

“I am passionate about collaborative healthcare and advocating for providing people with the opportunity to share their whole health story. When we slow down, tune into the present moment and provide someone with the opportunity to share their story fully, this is when we can truly identify what their body, heart, mind and soul are trying to tell us and why they are sitting in front of us asking for help. This passion is what fueled the creation of Holistic Physiotherapy & Wellness, an integrative healthcare clinic that believes in community, empowerment and collaboration. We have a variety of multi-disciplinary health services all under one roof that all focused on supporting women.

When your entrepreneurial journey has been recognized for high-level business growth, it shocks you to pause and reflect on every moment of adversity and how each of those moments led to so many celebrations, both big and small. I am forever grateful for the lessons learned, the meaningful connections made, and the incredible personal and professional growth that I have had. I can say with certainty that we would not be here today if it weren’t for every single team member, our community, and most importantly our patients and clients. Thank you very much for being a part of the journey. Here’s to the now and the future that has yet to come. ”

Cara’s integration of Somatic therapy is helpful for clients who have seen therapists focussed on cognitive therapy and have “done the work” yet continue to struggle with their mental health.

Cara is an approved NIHB (Non-Insured Health Benefits) Mental Health Counselling Provider. Indigenous Canadians who are registered under the Indian Act are eligible for up to 20 sessions with Cara, billed directly to NIHB.

Registered Nurse, Mama Coach

Hi, I am Janelle.  I have been a Registered Nurse since 2006, spending the majority of that time in a rural setting. I started on my journey with The Mama Coach in 2018, as I was looking for a way to fill the gap for the needs of parents with little ones.

As a Mama Coach I use my Registered Nursing skills to provide individualized assessments, planning & support and education to all of my clients and their families. I have four children of my own, and found that each one of my babies brought a new and unique experience, highlighting that no two babies are alike.

It is an honour to work with families with various needs.  I am passionate about empowering parents to be themselves and work within their own value sets to meet their individual goals for their child and their family.

My goal is to use evidence based- information to provide education, planning and support for parents, no matter where they are at in their parenting journey. A huge part of what I do is not only education, but to empower parents by using empathy and creating a judgement free environment for them to thrive. Let’s work together to make parenthood easier!
